Never a Dull Moment

One minute we’re busy with language study, the next we’re face to face with a thief sneaking out from under our house in the night! One morning we drive around a corner straight into a tribal fight on the road, and later we are helping to build a new married student house at the Bible College . Please continue to pray for our safety. Our co-workers were held up with shotguns, and their car was stolen in broad daylight. We searched for the car with the plane flying low for over an hour and could not find it. Praise the Lord, the vehicle was discovered a few hours later, stuck in the mud and abandoned on a small bush track with small amounts of damage Being car-jacked here seems almost like a right of passage! When we get up each morning we often wonder just what the day will bring!

Praising God for His Love & Blessing

As an answer to your many prayers for our health, our bodies seem to be acclimating to the new bugs and bacteria here. Our bouts with sickness seem to be fewer and farther apart. Thank you for your prayers!

Missionary Aviation

On the aviation side of ministry, Joel has enjoyed flying with Steve when he can, getting a feel for flying in PNG. During some of these flights we were able to pick up and drop off two co-workers, Bill & David Smith (brothers) for a survey trip to Maprik, looking for new possibilities of ministry. If the Lord wills, we will partner with some recent Bible College graduates (who are from Maprik) to plant churches there! And, as usual, there are the weekly cargo and passenger flights to the Simbai, a remote area of tribal ABWE church plants.

Thank you for your prayers! You are a huge encouragement to us! It is a privilege to represent you and spread the Good News in Papua New Guinea!
