HISTORY
This church was
established in 1858 by Baptist, Presbyterian and Methodist families.
In their denominational diversity, they chose to organize under the Congregational name.
They first gathered for worship in the town of Albany, but soon relocated to Sabetha
due to the railroad bypassing Albany.
Around
1871 they
merged with another Sabetha church and built a church building. There have been many changes to the building and the
constitution over the past 150 years, but the church remains a diverse group of
believers who are committed to God, to His Word and to the purpose He has
for each of us.
In 2006 the church
relocated to a new facility on the north side of town.
At this time they also changed the name to NorthRidge
Church. We cherish the rich history
God has given us and continue to change to stay effective at reaching and
equipping people for Christ.
